Highbury Primary School

Perth Private Schools introduces Highbury Primary School in Hope Valley, for all your education and learning needs.

Highbury is an R-7 School that caters for an enrolment of around 560 students at the start of the year.  We offer an outstanding curriculum for students aged 5 - 13 years of age.

Our emphasis is on intellectual quality, grounded in an environment that nurtures the child socially, emotionally, academically and physically.  The school curriculum offerings sit within the broad context of the South Australian Curriculum Standards and Accountability Framework (called SACSA).  We are currently transitioning into a new language, Mandarin Chinese and offer an outstanding Music Program.  Current priorities for us include:

• further developing our practices in the Teaching of Numeracy
• Learner Well being as a basis for learning
• developing a fresh Whole School Vision and Statement of Purpose

Our students consistently perform extremely well in the State and National literacy/numeracy tests for Year 3, 5 and 7 students.  Highbury students are amongst the highest achievers in the state and nationally.

Our students participate in a full range of extra curricular activities including athletics, soccer, football, netball, basketball, swimming and aquatics.  The school now has "rep team" uniforms, so  that any group representing Highbury will be attired in team clothing.  We now have team jackets, polo shirts, basketball tops and general purpose shirts.  We also have an enclosed school trailer and a Highbury Primary marquee.  Getting our teams to and from events and keeping them warm and dry is now much easier.
