Perth Private Schools introduces St Marys Primary School Hamilton in Hamilton, for all your education and learning needs.
St. Mary's Primary School is located in Hamilton, Western Victoria. Established in 1858 in Lonsdale Street by Nicholas Flynn and his wife Margaret, the school has undergone a number of changes throughout its history.
In 1904 St. Mary's Parish purchased "The Academy" in Coleraine Road. The main building became the convent for the Loreto Sisters, who arrived in July 1905. The change over of "The Academy" to St. Mary's became effective immediately. The Good Samaritan Sisters replaced the Loreto Sisters in January 1924 and remained until 1994 when a Lay Principal was again appointed. Enrolments peaked at 298 in 1991. At this time considerable refurbishment took place, along with the installation of additional classrooms in the form of portables.
St. Mary's is a Catholic school where young people are encouraged to develop their own unique identity in a loving and respectful atmosphere, thus creating a positive attitude to life. St. Mary's has a proud history of offering quality education to town and country students with a range of backgrounds and abilities.
Welcome to St Marys Primary School Hamilton one of the popular educators in your Hamilton area. Our aim is help you in your learning journey.
We endeavour to celebrate each other's uniqueness by providing opportunity for all and to develop a culture that identifies that the journey towards excellence is often paved with trial and error, risk taking, learning from mistakes, flexibility and adaptability. We believe that encouraging students to take ownership of the learning is critical in achieving the best learning outcomes and that implicit in this concept is that students learn their own areas of strength and areas of development, through useful and explicit feedback.
