Working together to encourage lifelong learning in an inclusive, safe and respectful environment.
Port Hedland Primary School is a Kindergarten to Year 7 co-educational school in the wonderful Pilbara region of Western Australia. Situated near the Indian Ocean in the suburb of Cooke Point, it is an oasis of academic endeavour, enthusiasm and community spirit amid the wild, red earth of the north west.
The current Port Hedland Primary School was opened in 1998. It was rebuilt at this time as an amalgamation of the original Port Hedland Primary School and the original Cooke Point Primary School. As a result of this rebuilding, the school is modern, well resourced and set in beautifully maintained gardens. The school prides itself on its welcoming atmosphere and caters for approximately 400 students from Kindergarten to Year 7.
The school also offers a comprehensive curriculum with a focus on academic achievement. Teaching staff are young and enthusiastic, embracing new ideas to ensure that students have access to a high quality education utilising new technology. Each classroom is equipped with an electronic whiteboard and all classes have access to banks of iPads and computers.
